ive just made a full size flyer in publisher (takes up one whole page), but i now want to print it so that there are two copies of the flyer per page (in other words, half size and oriented landscape). how to do this? :D

Your printer driver probably has a setting - print two pages in one. Sometimes it is called 'n-up' or something like that.

I know canon's and lexmark drivers have them as they are the two printers I've owned in recent years (with canon being wonderful!). . .

i have two printers im trying this on currently, an older HP laserjet and a newer lexmark all-in-one. the HP has a "Pages per sheet" option and the lexmark has an "n-up" option, both of which seem to do what i want however:

it seems what they are trying to do is print multiple pages of a multiple page document, but my flyer is only one page. so what happens if i try to print 2 pages per sheet (on the lexmark or the hp) is that it prints the flyer in the page 1 spot (half the page), and prints nothing in the page 2 spot (because there is no 2nd page)

:(

i am still not absolutely sure what you are trying to do [i also print a 1 page flyer on a 8-1/2x11 sheet so that when i print it it can easily be cut in half] . . . but if i understand correctly, try turning the sheet and running it through again so the page 1 spot is now page 2 ;)

its not difficult to understand but maybe it is difficult to explain. imagine u r printing labels. you dont want to print one label per page, you want to print the same label 12 times on the same page. im trying to do the same thing with a flyer, print multiple (obviously shrunk) copies on the same sheet

your suggestion would work if i only want to print a few pages, but would be a pain for dozens if not hundreds of copies

thank-you . . . i see clearly now.

i do the same thing but only to make a "master" . . . i ran into similar problems as yours' when i printed multiple copies . . . eventually i found a software solution [with n-up, i think] but the margins would still be 'off' by a hair . . . i now find it much cheaper to use Office Max' Copy Center for my flyers.

i think you will find a solution with n-up . . . [and someone more qualified than me]

So just add a second page identical to your first?

i cant seem to figure out how to do that in publisher either :p

i think publisher was specifically made to be a one-page only creation program (flyers, banners, folding brochures, posters, etc. are all one-page creations), but i could be wrong

Absolutely not, publisher files can have dozens of pages. Look at the bottom you will see I think a yellow box that says '1' - when you have more than one page you will see '2' '3' etc down there.

I don't have publisher at home, I use openoffice, so I can't remember specifically how to add page 2 to publisher - c'mon someone help him here.
