I'm upping the FSB 1mhz at a time on my machine. If it won't post or give a checksum error does that mean it's a memory error or can raising the CPU voltage help? I'd think it is a memory error if the error happens as soon as the machine powers on but I dunno what I'm talking about :)

I just want to avoid wasted experaments trying reboot with higher cpu voltages if that isn't the problem.

THanks!

If you have raised the bus and it won't start properly it is probably the processor or ram that can't take it. Try bumping the voltage and see if it helps, or if it's memory that can't handle that speed, lower ram timings or add voltage to the vdimm.

yea id say to add a little power to your Vdimm (RAM voltage).

If youre using something high-quality like Corsair, don't exceed 2.8v (Corsair warranties void past 2.8v)..

anything less Id say stick to 2.7v
