simple overclock question

i was wondering if this decreases ram and overall performance - in order to overclock a p4 1.6a to 2.0 the rdram needs to be reduced to 3x. i am using pc 800 samsung by the way. any comments would be appreciated.
 
yes i have. when overclocking to 2.0 my 3dmark scores are much higher. i just wanted to know if overall perfomance was affected particularly in the ram itself. another words is there much difference in 3x from 4x?
 
I'm not an rdram expert, but I'd say yes there's a difference, and since you're 3DMark scores are higher, that setting it to 3x isn't hurting anything, your oc is obviously making up for it...😉
