Simple office DVR solution?

I have a need for my office for a simple DVR-esque solution that can record a TV feed every day, allow us to easily access the recordings/edit them, etc... Not sure if this is something to best look for a stand alone kind of device (somehting like the Monsoon Vulkano??) or a PC based hardware/software solution, but I'm open to ideas.

Any Windows 7 PC with a tuner (HD Homerun being an easy one) will do the trick.

I shouild mention, this thing needs to be REALLY simple to use. I won't be the one operating it, so it needs to be simple to set to record, edit the recordings, etc..

Yep, it is - and it's a very common DVR (free in Windows) ... so finding ppl that understand it is easy.....

The Win7 MC solution does true 1080i/720p (i.e. the limit of cable/OTA broadcast TV) recording. And it permits fancy solutions like removing commercials.

But for a really simple solution (albeit in SD recording only) and at $199, I admit the Magnavox solution is appealing.

Can you easily get the recordings OFF that Magnavox player though? Looks like you could only burn it on a DVD, then rerip that onto a computer?
