Oh Hai There,

I want to build a low-cost simple home theater and am a bit unsure on how to connect it, I'm getting a good deal on this 46 LED TV:

http://www.samsung.com/ae/consumer/tv-audio-video/television/led-tv/UA46D5000PRXZN

And an amazing deal on this speaker setup:

http://www.swanspeaker.com/products/products.aspx?cid=5&sid=0&pid=23

I want to use this type of system so I don't need to buy an external receiver also,

Content comes via my Apple TV which is running Netflix and XBMC content. I also have a PS3 which I game and BluRay on.

Question: How do I make this work? I could plug those speakers in via headphone jack on TV, but I don't get surround then do I ? From PS and ATV audio/image comes via HDMI, how do I get it into the speakers... ? With 5.1 ? :S

(I'm currently living in China hence my specific product choices)

those speakers have a built in amplifier, no receiver though.

this hdmi switch with 5.1 out might work for you, though i'm not sure

i know for sure that you can use a receiver with speaker pre-outs... that pretty much negates the advantage of having powered speakers.
you can connect the subwoofer audio "inputs" to the receiver with rca cables
see the diagram on page 2 except instead of using rca to 3.5mm you just use rca to rca
http://www.swanspeaker.com/support/download/Multimedia/M60-5.1.pdf
then connect apple tv, TV, and ps3 to the receiver

Thanks! Basically, to get this to work properly I'd need one of those conversion boxes? Got confused with the amplifier/receiver thing, what I mean is I'd like to use a computer speaker surround system since I don't have to add a receiver etc, I'd like as simple of a system as possible.

Basically, the issue is that my audio is digital and speakers analog.. right?

The TV have these outputs:

Input&Output
HDMI 4
USB 2
Component In (Y/Pb/Pr) 1
Composite In (AV) 1 (Common Use for Component Y)
Digital Audio Out (Optical) 1
PC In (D-sub) 1
RF In (Terrestrial/Cable Input) 1
RF In (Satellite Input) No
Headphone 1
PC Audio In (Mini Jack) 1
DVI Audio In (Mini Jack) 1 (Common Use for PC Audio in)
Audio Out L-R (Mini Jack) No
Ethernet (LAN) 1

i guess, i couldn't find any pictures of the back of that hdmi switch, so i'm not completely sure if it has enough of the required audio connectors (based on it's description it should though, and it shouldn't be a major problem if it doesn't; you'll just need to buy some cables)
