Simple grammar question..

How do you show possession for someone whose name ends with S?

Ex: This is Chris' post.

 

[Mucho]

The Simpsons' house.

 

[Actaeon]

With an apostrophy (spelling) at the end of the S

Walrus' house.

use an apostrophe in the same way but without adding the extra 's' at the end

like Syringers'
(assuming your name ended with an s)

Ahh, I thought it was 's like normal..

Actually, either way is acceptable, with the 's being the preferred for singular names, such as James's or Williams's.

Yes. Either way is acceptable. It has been professed both ways to me as a University Student.
