Simple fitness/workout question regarding metabolism

Alrighty, I've been thinkingof hitting the gym to bulk up my scrawny frame a bit, but was wondering if it would mess up my metabolism. Currently I can chow down 3000 calories a day and not gain even a pound. I would like to be able to keep this type of metabolism, but would gaining some muslce also cause my body to starting taking what I eat with more gravity(literally)?
Specs:
74.5 inches tall and 155 lbs

Diet: Tons and tons of carbs, processed foods and things from the microwave

Workout style: Never

Muscle will do nothing to lower your metabolism. In fact adding muscle will help to increase your metabolism even more. I've read that one pound new muscle mass will burn approximately 40 calories a day for doing nothing.

So basically, if you add 5 pounds of muscle mass to your frame, you could eat an additional 200 calories per day simply because of the extra metabolism from the muscle mass.
