Thinking about getting one. Have a few questions. Will the dvd+rw replace my cdrw? Can I use the regular cdrw dics with it also? IS there a web site where I can learn more about dvd+rw's?
thanks for the replies in advance.

DVD+RW will not replace your CDRW. You can most likely still use your CDRW drive for faster CD writing. plextor has a new drive (not out yet) which will be as fast as the fastest CDRW drive at writing CDR\Ws. whether or not you can write CDRW with the DVD drive depends on your drive. there is no guarantee that a DVD writer can write a CD. however, the technology is so similiar, all they have to do is make a chip and laser system capable of doing so. and that's what most of us that have dvd burners have, drives that can do cds as well.

now, dont confuse dvd writing with DVD+RW. DVD+RW is merely one of the multitude of dvd rewritable formats out there.
