Simple Driver Installation Question for Radeon 8500

I am about to update the drivers for my Radeon 8500 (again...) hopefully I will avoid some of the problems I am having in Morrowind.

But the real question is, should I uninstall the old drivers before I install the new ones, or should I just install the new driver over the old.

Please tell me why that way is better, I would like to understand.

ALWAYS uninstall your old vidcard drivers before a new install. I do it from Safe Mode, reboot and install the new drivers.
 
Check out the forums at Rage3D.com, the 8500 forum has a guide for cleanly removing Radeon drivers, and lots of good info about Radeon cards.
