Simple cooling for my ram

I have the new setup:

2 1gig sticks of ddr2-800 memory OCZ gold
gigabyte ga-p965-ds3 rev 3.3
arctic freezer 7 pro
c2d e6320 s775
Evercool Memory coolers


I was wondering if anyone has used the memory cooler in the link and I wanted to know how many slots it covers. I don't want to buy more than i have to, I was just wondering if this cooler will cool over all 4 slots or just 2, or maybe even 2 that are in the adjacent dual channel setup?

If one were to raise the voltages, I am sure that temperatures could rise above a comfortable zone.

Well actually the thing is im off to college in about 5-6 months, i have a nice new setup and ive been told that my processor can overclock like a beast ( the core 2 duos) and i was told also that my memory would be overclocked slightly. I just want to get a setup that will be cool, and run perfectly stable for me. I couldnt afford to have somethin wrong happen to me when i get there.

The thing about college is that you won't be doing much gaming. At least you shouldn't....I didn't listen to that and I lost a scholarship. Don't do this to yourself. Find a girlfriend, find a group of friends and/or join a club. Do something with your life and don't be lame. And besides, if you're not going to be gaming, why would you overclock?

Hmmm the OCZ Gold you have probably won't require active cooling in the form of a fan. The reason is that the actual chips used in this RAM are not designed for extreme overclocking, and raising the voltages beyond about 2.1 or 2.2V won't do much to get you any extra speed. I know because I used to have 2 GB of OCZ DDR2-667 Gold and they were terrible overclockers, not going above about DDR2-750 stable even at 5-5-5-15 timings with 2.2V going through them. I think you should just choose a RAM divider that lets you run at a RAM speed pretty close to stock and leave the voltages as they are (maybe raise by .1V if you run them slightly above stock). I ran my OCZ Gold 667s at 3-4-3-10 timings at just under the advertised speed for over a year at 2.1V and had absolutely no stability issues even though 2.1V is 0.3V over the default for my old DIMMs. Memory cooling fans really aren't necessary unless you have some extreme D9GKX based sticks running at DDR2-1200+ with 2.3V or more being fed to them 😉

Ok rallymaster, I am overclocking because i do have use for it, I was going to get a p4 3.2 ghz instead but i read and studied about core 2 duos and i have been convinced that they would do much better than a pentium 4. I want to overclock because I do have an 8800gts that I plan to use but i will primarily be using a quadro. I also have 6 dvd burners in my computer and I know that running 4 or more would be a bit of a workout for them along with the quadro running a 3d app pretty much atleast 4+ hours a day. I do a dvd video editing, recording and slideshow dvd program that has almost made about 60% of my college funds. I am pretty sure I couldnt be using 4+ dvd burners running at the same time with the 3d app running with also whatever else I will have running on my computer. I have already seen a relatives computer who has almost the exact same setup and his processor the e6400 and he overclocked to 3 ghz and when i use it, the machine is running at 75% load at the least when running all that I need. I have a girlfriend, I have a life, I have a very successful life and this is all just icing on the cake for it.

Then go water. Stable overclocks are more guaranteed on water than air. aigomorla should know all of this.
