Greetings all, for the past 5.5 years I have been using a cheap pair of speakers pictured here [Logitech S-220](http://oi68.tinypic.com/2ekkx7m.jpg) and am just frankly sick of them.
I would prefer a pair of "simple" speakers but am open to all suggestions. I would also really prefer not having a subwoofer as, to me, it essentially just takes up room and for most audio that I really tune into... I prefer to use my no ise cancelling headphones. Anyways I would like to spend less than about $75 but I'm honestly open for any suggestions you may have.

Side note I would also like an elegant looking... "control center" where you plug your headphones/microphone in as it will be sitting on my desk. The [current Logitech one I have](http://oi68.tinypic.com/ea4gvn.jpg) just really looks cheap.

These are overbuilt (the best that creative makes) and meet your bullet points, also you can get them from amazon warehouse for a good discount.

That said, there are a lot of choices under 80. Fwiw, most stuff under 40 is junk so watch out there.

I saw someone on the zon is selling a pair of T40s for 50...

agreed. both the T20 and T40 are good sets.

I'll give another vote for the Creative GigaWorks T20 Series IIs in that first link up there...the second link is a review for the earlier released Series Is.

Here's a video review of the Series IIs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dkN6HxOyAY

I use them and have been very happy with them.
