Totally addicted to this song right now. Anyone know any similar tunes?

EDIT: I particularly like the way the electric guitars come in - simple and effective and clean (i.e. not grunge).

Have you listened to the other songs by Massive Attack? Some of them pretty much have the same theme... the matrixy type music. I guess you can look up Robert Dougans music since some of his work was also used in the matrix.

For a specific song that is similar, I'd suggest "Wandering Star" by Portishead. But just check out the full catalogs of both bands (among others). The genre is filled with good music.

Sneaker Pimps have a couple similar tracks as well. Tricky is funny because he recycles his lyrics. Karmacoma is another great MA track you'll like if you like angel.

Oh - almost forgot... check out the new MA ep that just came out with 4 tracks from the new album. It's called Splitting the Atom.

Good suggestions so far, still browsing through them.

I found the guitars in Angel the best part of the song, looking for similar music with guitar effects. I like it clean and not so heavy, and Angel gets it just right.

Other songs I like like Angel are:
Lift by Poets of the Fall
Weapons of Mass Disortion by The Crystal Method

... to give a better idea of what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

That entire album, Mezzanine is fantastic. One of the best I've ever heard. Absolutely get it. Go to amazon and look at the reviews, it's almost religious in its greatness. Don't dick around, don't equivocate. Get that album now. And yes it has other songs like Angel on it.
