Simcity 3000 wont run - SORTED

Ive installed it fine and when i click the icon to make it run it just does nothing. Theres many people out there who have this same problem and neither them nor i have found a patch or anything. Anyone out there manage to run SC3K on service pack 2 with an ati card??

I installed the game, I played it, I moved on.

Win XP Pro Sp2 w/ net 1.1, xp 1700+, radeon 9800 Pro w/ cat 5.6'es, 1 gb ram.

No problems here.

Ok, so its not my card then as i have the exact same one. Can anyone shed any light as to why it wont run? Its very dissapointing i dont even get an error message to google or anything...

I found some patch that seems to make it work. It gives 2 errors on startup but it still starts.
