not much to report today. no new members so we are still 14 members strong with 8 active last week

we are engaged in a see-saw battle with "teddies" , who continue to impress with just 4 members :Q currently we have slipped to 5th place but this looks like a nip n tuck battle for the forseeable future.

i dumped a q this morning before fiddling with my son's rig. the TAS monthly project, dpad will be ending soon so i should have a bit more "oomph" available in the coming week. ;)

lets get at it !! :p

a big welcome and  (or is it a big  and a welcome?) to Insidious, who is crunching under the name of tasSID. he claims he's here for the month but he hasn't seen our very enticing "extended stay" rates yet. :)

for however long he stays, TeAm Simap is now 15 members strong

congrats and :beer: to our milestone makers, Sofa King and BMC who both stormed past the 10k barrier :) well done !!

the 4659 points also marks our 5th best production day

lets keep at 'em TeAm !!

(and who said we couldn't catch teddies :p)

Honestly, there's no way to beat "teddies." Morphy375 trashed me in Rosetta and took my #1 spot for Germany. I don't know exactly how many PCs he's got, but it must be somewhere near amdxborg's level. :(

Morphy and hobbs both have around 30 to 40 each.
bty I don't believe Morphy is running Rosetta anymore.

"I left Rosetta (for a while) because 20 out of 30+ machines were out of work yesterday morning.... "

that would account for their upturn. we blew by them a couple weeks ago but suddenly he's throwing down huge numbers.

they can be beat, we just need some more powah :p hey, it looks like it'll be "boinc month" for TAS so maybe we can pull a few more TASers in :)

Thanks for the weekly stats update, rise4310.

I'm going to increase my SIMAP resource share for a few weeks and see if that will help overtake Teddies. They are formidable for having only 4 members.

Hey petrusbroder, I just noticed that you and I are in the exact same 7 projects. Funny coincidence. I spent some time tonight looking through the stats of the different projects, and it's impressive to see some of the same names with huge contributions in various projects. The important thing is that all the crunching is under the TeAm Anandtech banner.

I need more pOWER! Time to turn it up to 11.

Sofa King.

LOL, someone else remembers it. It's been so long that the film is mostly a blur, but that line (or something similar to it) seems to have stuck in my mind.

Sofa King.

You are right ... an interesting coincidence :D. It is a lot of fun. Most of the projects I am only active with quite small resources - having got to know them through TAS (Team Anandtech Sentinels), (take a look, we are a mini team dedicated to fun, crunching, learning about projects and increasing the standing of the TeAm in the list). I am just now agonizing about resource allocation for February - there are too many interesting BOINC-projects out there!

yeah, i see some mobo problems as well :(

well, we wrestled back 4th place from teddies but it'll be pointless to update the battle much until we all gain some traction.

and a big congrats to Sofa King on his 5k !!

yeah ... seems they (motherboard and/or psu) all want to quit at the same time.

A real budget buster not to mention all the time it takes to figure out what is bad, what is still good, and what to do about each situation.

I've decided to reallocate the horde to crunch a bit more SIMAP a bit less SETI. We should see the effects within a week or so I would guess.

Congrats to Sofa King ... we need more members. Glad to have you aboard.

I'm doing all I can and yet .... I seem to be unable to create "traction" in this project ... it is exasperating to say the least ...

I will also do what I can to assist team members ...

HiYa SIMAP'ers

It isn't much, but I'm going to be climbing aboard for a month with TAS.

They say "It's all for the science"... Well, not this time.

This time It's for friends and TeAm mates

What in the world is going on? I have switch projects @60 minutes selected and a 100/100 share selected in my preferences...

It just keeps switching back and forth between the two projects.... How do I get this thing to settle down?

i think its just boinc figuring out what to do. i've seen that happen a couple times when i "accept new work" again. seems it kind of throws boinc for a loop as once it takes on a bunch of new work from a different project, it thinks its over commited.

it should settle down in a day or two.

*waits for RD to come by and fix everything i've said*

:p
