Why is formula boinc different from regular project rank?
 
In Formula Boinc they reset the points to zero in January of every year so it's an annual competition. For SIMAP and other projects it's only WUs crunched in 2012 that count.

Seems to be out of work for the moment. This work set shows that its only 60% complete so I think more should be out soon.

looks like all the work has been distributed for the month. A LOT of us must have large numbers of WUs in our boinc cache. I know I have a day or two's still to be crunched.
 
I should finish all of mine tonight. Good thing too since the temps are back to seasonal and the machines need to get shut down.

Sweet, we're gaining on #8! I've got a little more work in my queues so all my hosts are still crunching away. =)

Also if you missed it, SIMAP said they are having a 24 hour power company outage so they are currently down.

Thanks, that explains why I've got a bunch of WUs stuck in the "uploading" mode! 😱
 
Odd that they would shut down when people are still crunching/uploading. You would think they would do a shutdown mid month when there are no units available.
I was wondering why I couldn't connect to see how I did for the month. 9 cores less this month than the last 2. And for some reason my fx8120 performed like crap this month. I eased off the oc a bit (from 3.8 to 3.6) but that shouldn't explain the disparity.

Nice to see how well we did. I won't be crunching in July and possible August because of the heat. Even with only 3 machines running the 20 cores pump out too much heat.
 
I don't think the power outage had anything to do with SIMAP. Their server just happened to be on the circuit at the University that was getting some work.

They are now back up for business!

Yes, they typically have about a weeks worth of work which they distribute at the beginning of the month. RT keeps an eye out for when they start releasing the WUs and gives us a heads up. 🙂
