Still doesn't run that great tbh(built my PC a year ago). There's a terrible CTD bug that just pisses you off and doesnt make you want to play. I think there are a few mods to work around it but I haven't had much success.

Are you using software or hardware acceleration in the settings? Try both, one of them crashes on me but I don't remember which. It's a known bug, for years. I had the issue with many pcs over the years, I always had to change that setting before it was stable.

Thanks for letting us know in the new Sim City thread.

Lol yeah, because no one has ever talked about an older iteration in a sequel's thread. I've been following this thread because sim city interests be but has been a total fail boat so far.

So I guess I'm done..

Even with all the bugs I made 4 cities, unlocked all buildings/research, and built 1 great work.

Kinda easy, in the end it's mostly just a lot of boring waiting and bulldozing shit once in a while. Highest pop city I got was 400k and it had less traffic than my 80k city. Go figure.

Thanks for letting us know in the new Sim City thread.

I know, lets make another Sim City thread because more threads make sense, right?

FYI, 4 still runs pretty rough. It has something to do with the game trying to render things (cars, people, etc) on a microscopic level. When fully zoomed out, it shouldn't be needing to render 6,000 one-pixel players.

Mass Effect 3 or Deadspace 3?

That list is an illustration of the problem with video game creativity over the past few years. They are taking the movie busines model of releasing sequels over and over. Beating the horse until it is dead.

meh this list of games sucks. i already have bf3 and am really not interested in these other games. would have picked a crysis/far cry 3 but they only included in-house games i guess.

I knew they'd limit their free game selections pretty severely. Nothing on that list is, in any way, appealing to me. Fuck you EA. I guess I'll suffer through Dead Space 3?

If you got the email, that means give registered your copy and don't need to do anything other than select the game you want right?

I remember it's been studied that new IP doesn't really do all that well at the end of a console generation. Sure, there are plenty of exceptions like God of War, but for the most part, they save new game ideas for a new console. It feels even worse this time around because this generation was 2+ years longer than it traditionally has been in the past.

Really? IMO, it looks like they included a pretty good variety of games there. You don't like shooter games? Or puzzle games? Or horror games? Or racing games? or RPGs?

It's free dude. Then again, I don't know what else I expected; the gaming community is the only community I know of that will actually whine and bitch about getting free stuff. EA trying to apologize to people by offering a brand new, $60 game, for completely free? "FUCK YOU EA." Yup, that sounds about par for the course.

I'm not trying to defend SimCity. I know it's a disaster. But it just bothers me when people get worked up and pissed because they're getting stuff for free. I guess I'm just ranting about obnoxious people in general. It's shit like this that makes me embarassed to tell people I'm a "gamer".

Sorry you'll have to suffer through your free game. Really, really sorry.

Cool, in for Dead Space 3. Was "demoing" it last night, seemed decent. Loved the first 2.
