Silverwing, Bergman or something else?

Looking for a big scooter to commute on. Manual trans is a no, otherwise I would get a bike. My wife needs to be able to put around on this occasionally as well. Not new to bikes but new to scooters. The popular models are Bergman, Silverwing, what else? Anyone have one of these big scooters?

You can get a auto transmission Can-Am Spyder. I had a 2008 manual GS. It was a lot of fun and you get quite a bit of attention on it. I put about 15K miles on it without any issues (a few recalls). Gas mileage wasn't that great, but it will have significantly more power then a big scooter.

Honda makes a couple of bikes with automatic transmissions.

CTX700
NC700X

I was just about to recommend those. Honda's been playing with automatic motorcycles for a long time and the 700 models are nice bikes.

Still, if the OP's wife doesn't have a motorcycle endorsement and needs to be able to ride it occasionally he's going to be stuck with 50cc scooters or smaller in most places.
