Silversun Pickups: What say you?

I have their first album and I like it. They have some good, straight-ahead rocking tunes. The half-nasally voice can kind of get on my nerves after extended periods of listening, but in general I quite like the album.

Not sure about anything released after that.

I would say somewhere in the middle. If you would consider anything a "hit", it would be Lazy Eye

I really like them... they're bringing back the fuzzy dream-pop to the mainstream.

People instantly say they're a smashing pumpkins copy but I feel like they're definitely more than that. They're not an amazing band by any means but their shit is fun to listen to and I'm an absolute sucker for fuzzy layered riffs.

I like their latest single alot more than lazy eye.

Not really no. Plus, a lot of their vocals are a blend of the female bass player and him, so perhaps that's why.
 
I think they are good. A better version of smashing pumpkins IMO

Well thought out twinkles and Melatonin are their best songs.

You should really check out their new record.. the songs are a lot darker and more mature than their first. Their EP is pretty cool too.
 
Like them a lot. 1st cd was awesome. 2nd I've only given a few listens to so far, but I will say it's one of a very few cds I've purchased this year. Wish I could just hand them the money though, giving anything to a record company makes my ass twitch.

I never knew whether it was a chick or dude, just assumed they had some sort of mix of vocals(which it appears I was right).

I really like their sound 🙂

I downloaded their single off of itunes. Is it worth it to download the entire CD? I bought the original CD and liked it a lot BTW
