To the other Tj07 owners,

have you experience that when you're mounting a video card or anything that goes into the slots of a motherboard that the card will not sit 100 percent flush?

My experiences are that the card, when sat properly, has it's metal hinge that's used to screw in to the case a bit tilted. I checked the install on the motherboard and everything is sitting perfect

the cards still work and everything but i can see a tad bit of the conductive part of the card that's supposed to sit in the slot and i can't get it all in if i want to screw it in, and if i don't screw it in the metal hinge is tilted

has anyone experienced this and can recommend a solution/

thanks

Sounds like the rear panel isn't square with the motherboard. That would be unacceptable in a case that costs that much.

it is, it's actually a motherboard tray

it lines up flush and it's level, I checked >_>

Well, maybe the mobo tray was not made quite right so the part the cards mount to are too high or perhaps you used the wrong height of standoff for some of the mobo mounting points.
It looks like the ones that come with the TJ-07 are taller than typical standoffs (which are 1/4" high)

hmm, maybe thats it then, all I know is the tapered metal hinge of the card is put in some sort of flange on the tray because it has a little slit underneath each slot to show the metal part of the card.

weird i know, great case though and it's powdercoated(My black one feels like it atleast)

damn.

Could be the slot isn't soldered into the motherboard correctly. Or somthing has fallen into the slot so the card won't seat.

I had a card that wasn't trimmed properly, so it wouldn't fit into a slot. I used a file to trim it.

I've also had a card that wouldn't seat due to the backplane having a defect.

I think rastus meant the slot plate on the card, not the mobo tray. The Silverstone CFP-51 I had here was assembled none too precisely... I wouldn't be surprised if the mobo tray was off-spec (you can find the ATX case mechanial specs at FormFactors.org), but more likely the card strap as mentioned above - sometimes you can loosen the card strap and slide it up or down a bit. Try another card in one of your slots and see how that fits. If that card is OK, then it is probably just the card giving the problem.
