Silverstone Temjin 05

The Temjin 5 looks like a great case. Anandtech's review was also very helpful, but one part confused me. The Temjin comes with 2 120mm fans standard, with mounts for 3 additional 80mm fans. The Silverstone site says that these additional fans do NOT come with the case, and are optional. But Anandtech said that Silverstone "provided additional 80mm fans". Could Silverstone have just provided it for the review? Or does the case really come with those fans. I would like to know so that I know whether or not to buy a couple of them.

Ding Ding, A Winner :cookie:

EDIT: If it's not clear I'm just kidding a bit. But I think you should rely on the manufacture's site, particularly since your post indicates their site clearly says the additional fans are not included.

Thanks, I'm probably gonna get Aspire LED fans, to add a nice glow. It should match nicely with the DFI board's UV-reactive material, as well as the UV-reactive wires and LED in the OCZ Modstream. Let there be light!

I just hope it doesn't come with its own fans...or I'll be sitting here with 3 extra fans.

Well you won't necessarily need the extra fans, you might not even want them. Two 120mm fans is sufficient, and stays quiet. Unless something is overheating, I say stick with just the two big fans.

Well one of the fans blows right over the hard drive cage, which might be useful. And the other two are positioned over the Southbridge and video card, which may also be beneficial. I might just get 2 fans, one for the motherboard area, and one for the HDD.

That Silverstone Case looks very good. The 120mm fans may be sufficent, but as long as you wont be adding overly noisy fans, the 80mm fans should be fine also.

Well Anandtech's Review of the Temjin5 placed it among the top cases in both thermal and sound benchmarks. The problem is that I don't know if that was only the stock 120mm fans, or also with the 80mm fans. If it was just the 120mm fans, there's no need for me to bother with the other fans.

The Temjin5 that Anand had did not have any 80mm fans, you can see there were none in any of the pics they took for the review. I think Anand's review simply stated that the case has room for three 80mm fans,

"with mounts for 3 additional 80mm fans"

Notice he said "mounts" for 3 additional 80mm fans.

See why I'm confused? :S

Well as long as you know that they've got room for them (if you can see them in any pics or reviews), then you know they're there. I say get the case anyway, it's a great case regardless.
