Silverstone SX600-G Issues

Hey guys, I recently purchased this PSU for use in a Node Fractal 304 case. I really like the small form factor of it and the modular cables, etc. But have several questions:

1. I'm having some system stability issues atm. My onboard hdmi sometimes doesn't work, requiring me to turn it off, unplug and replug in. Furthermore, Im getting random lockups just surfing in windows. Can a defective unit be to blamme ?

2. I'm having issues getting the large 24 pin ATX modular cable to plug FULLY into the PSU. I'm still seeing a sliver thin gpa between the wire and the hole. Is this expected ? I've tried pushing it with all my force and can't get that thing to plug all the way in. All the other connectors even clicked into place, this one didn't. Anyone else notice this ?

Possible on the random lockups, highly unlikely the cause for any HDMI issues. I'd not likely point my finger at the PSU for the lockups without further evidence though.

It's not likely the fault of the PSU cabling for the overly tight fit to the motherboard connector. More likely the fault of the board, my Rampage has this issue regardless of which PSU I've used with it. Shouldn't cause any problems as long as it's in pretty firmly.
