I wanted to share my recent purchase of this powersupply (Amazon).

I'm currently using this for my WHS 2011 Server and have no complaints.

Hardware:
E6850 CPU w/ MASSCOOL 8W553B1M3 90mm
Asus P5N32-E SLI Deluxe (no gpu)
3 x 120m FAN (mb header)
4 x SATA Hard Drive
CM-690 Mid-Tower

PRO:
Small - It can fit in some micro cases
Quiet - Can't hear it (i'm sure its due to the low load)
Modular - Optional to order SilverStone PP05 Short Cable for PSU Set
Look - Black, Blue Highlighted FAN
Package - Thumb Screws, Screws, Ties, Velcro Ties, Manual (muti-lang)

CON:
Price - It's just a little high
Phase Power Plug (not sure of the offical name) - It could of been a little longer.

500W at $80 is already asking alot, but 1 year warranty? What were you thinking? Could've got a high quality Seasonic S12II 520W with 5 year warranty for $60. And 500W is way more than you need for that system. Would be fine with an S12II 430W or Antec EA-430D.

Apparently the warranty has been changed to three years...

Warranty Update: We sincerely apologise to both SilverStone and our readers for having originally stated in this review that this power supply only carries a 12 month warranty. While this held true in the U.S. for some time, SilverStone extended the warranty period to a much more comfortable 3 years earlier this year; the same warranty terms SilverStone has always given its European customers. It should also be noted that this information in no way affects the overall score.

That helps a bit, but the Seasonic is still higher quality, lower cost and longer warranty. It is lacking modularity though. That may be a big deal in a small case.

For fully modular, Seasonic X-400 Fanless is much better than the Silverstone at just $10 more AR. It will pull 600W from the wall max, compared to 550W for the higher rated silverstone, and it will do so at several degrees lower PSU temperature, despite being fanless (hardwaresecrets.com)

I wonder why the warranty update has not made its way into newegg.com. The tweaktown link is almost a year old.

Not sure about the warranty issue. It's definitely an odd thing.

Silverstone has had enough crappy PSU's under its brand name over the years that I personally wouldn't buy one for my computer...especially at that price. (nor even for half that price)

There are too many quality power supplies out there built on SeaSonic chassis, sold at comparable prices for me to piss away my money on a mediocre FSP build.

Well the Warranty extened to 3 years is good plus that I didnt' know about. Thanks BoomerD

The SeaSonic Fanless...no way, lots of reviews that say high-pitched whine & better have good air flow and and not a fan of rebates. Seasonic doesn't offer short cables...Silver does.

So far I'm happy with the PS for this setup and then moving it to a LIAN LI PC-Q08B.

Grab this 650w if you dont wanna have bunch of cables,, you just plug in the ones you need... This will for shure handle your 2600k OCed and your video card OCed and bunch of devices. gl and gb

Go with quality and trusted. Thermaltake Tt. Thank you
Thermaltake makes good & mediocre products. That PSU is good, but they have some not so good. For PSUs I would not buy any without reading a proper review.

I use a 140 dollar mouse so I know quality. :) thank you..H20 and Fans still going strong since 2006
All that means is you know how to buy an expensive mouse.
