Hello,

I have 4 Silverstone FM121 fans, that i want to use with this controller:

Scythe KM01-BK "KAZE MASTER" 5.25" Bay Fan Controller - Black

These FM121 fans have their own controller.

Can I just cut the wires to the fan's included pot,

and solder it to the Scythe's pins, will this Work?

thanks.

It looks like it has 4 wires coming out of the motor you only need three wires to connect to the Kaze Master. I'd guess you have red and black for +12 and ground and one of the yellow would be the speed sensor wire. You will also need to put a standard 3-pin fan connector on the bare wires to connect it to the K-M.

You can get them here (or wherever):

Get the pins. Solder the wire on the pins, pop them in the appropriate guide, and you're set.

Their shipping sucks for small items like this so get some extras, some loom and heatshrink and throw those new mosfet heatsinks you've been looking at into the shopping cart.
