I just purchased One Of These.
When it is plugged in my system won't post.
I can hear a click inside my psu and the system immediately powers off.

Removing the splitter results in the system working fine.
"Includes two 2200?F capacitors for stabilizing +12V and +5V voltages"

Are those two caps potentially drawing enough power to overload the psu ?
I'm using a 400watt seasonic X series in a llano system with 4 hard drives.

I would say getting an exchange of the product. It seems other people were able to use it without a problem with mediocre PSUs. Maybe it's just a faulty cable you have with a short or something.

I think for $10 an exchange wouldn't really be worth it
I'm more likely to open it up and remove the capacitors.

I'm wondering how much current those caps will pull while powering up. My electrical/math skills aren't enough to calculate that :(
