I won't be buying till the first week of august but, my short list is down to these two cases. Price is the same, color is the same, everything else is different. What do you think?

Its all subjective. Everyones choice will be different and for different reasons. Cases are a personal choice. Its up to you weather the cases have the kind of features you want/need.

They both have all the features I need and aesthetics I like, just fishing for opinions. The reasons you stated are my exact reasons for creating this thread, so pick one.

I like Lian-Li a lot, but I wanted to get a TJ-07 for my last build, but the rocketfish craze was going on around that time so....

Ok, so why'd you pick the TJ-07 over the A77B?

I liked the fact that you could fit a 3x120 rad and a 2x120 rad in the bottom rather easily (or seemingly rather easily from what I read)

Other than that, I found the TJ07 a tad be preferable to my eyes... but not by much!
I also think I was leaning towards it because I didn't like my current Lian-Li that I had at the time. (The v1000)

BTW, good to see you around again Derwen.

(Pick the Lian-Li v2110 lol)

I gotta say I really like the softer lines of the TJ-07 but at the same time those softer lines make the system slightly more difficult to modify. Being as I'm not allowed to look at a power tool for the foreseeable future that could be a big factor. I think I can talk them into letting me paint which bodes well for the TJ-07. There is an aftermarket top available for the A7x series for a triple radiator and it seems simple enough to put a double or triple in the front. I just can't decide.

The aftermarket top and the concurent lack of pysical labor involved with the A7x are something that would make the scales read pretty evenly, IMO.

Tough choice here.

Between those two I would go with teh Silverstone.

Personally I like the A71B or A70B

I loved the A70 and the A71 but, their not quite as flexible for water as the A77 and the A77 retains just about every one of the features of the A70/71 that I love and gives MUCH greater flexibility in the front-end.

Looking at the TJ-07 again... I don't like the two rear 92mm fans...
Looking at the A77 again..... I don't like the, wait, I don't see a flaw for what you want to do with it :)

Can I change my vote?

I dunno, can you?

The TJ-07 is prettier though.

I'm not so much a form over function type, I'm more of the type to find a way to bring form and function together to be greater than the sum of the two.

Buy both cases, combine them :D

For those prices (>= $300), fan-deployments and general design, the only thing that would drive the choice of one over the other would be your cooling strategy -- and only if you "go after the last grain of rice" on the cooling angle -- something that I take so seriously I have a reputation here.

Dual 92mm fans are not quite as desirable as dual 120's, but they'll give good airflow without a lot of noise. You could pick replacement fans if you're not satisfied with those provided.

There are some advantages -- not too significant -- to having the power supply at the case-bottom.

If you're not going to take pains ducting air over your "hot" parts to exhaust it exclusively through certain exhaust ports, then the only critirion with these cases would be "aesthetics." They're both roomy enough.

Thats a tough call; They both look sweet. I have always wanted the Silverstone, but after seeing this lian li, I am not sure. The only thing I do not like about the lian is the side support and would like to see a window on both of them, But I am sure they can both be modded to accomodate whatever one needs. Looks wie they are both sweet, seems to have plenty of room and should provide adequate cooling. also cases this big; I think should come with some nice casters.

Good luck with you decision; its going to be tough but I dont think you can lose either way. I would probably go with whichever on you can find the cheapest

Interesting, the comments seem to lean towards the A77B yet the vote is 5-2 for the TJ-07. It's not like I'm in a hurry though, I think I'll just play the waiting game for a little while and wee where it leads me. Thanks for all the comments.

6-2 for the TJ-07

It looks better then the Lian-li, which looks like a big box, no more, no less. The TJ-07 looks styled, with some effort put into it. I also noticed the 2 92mm fans, but they should be inaudble, unless you crank them up to high. I like the easier, less complicated interior of the TJ-07. I wouldn't spend 300$ on either case, but if I had to pick it definately be the TJ-07. I also like the metal look on the side of the TJ-07.

IMO, it really depends on what your design goals are. Are you looking for silence, or maximum airflow? Water or air cooling? Etc.

I like the A77. Couldn't find specifics on the "b", but one thing I noticed on the Lian Li website was that they didn't say much about the little silencing features they tend to throw on most of their cases. Insulated panels, anti-vibration mountings on panels and HDs, etc, etc.

I like that case, too.
