nice setup you have there. what you have there is pretty much set on it if you want a dead silent computer since almost everything is fanless or really quiet. as for upgradability, its a SFF so you get what you paid for and you know what your getting into when you go that route. but seriously some of the ppl over at hardforums have SFFs that can pwn a desktop system in gaming.

I recently emailed Silverstone about that exact case and heatsink..
they replied that they work together.. since they pretty much designed the heatsink for compatibility with their SFF cases...
at least that is what I got from their email..

You know..this looks like a very nice SFF case and the reviews I have seen on it have been very favorable. But, at around $145 not including a Power Supply ..ugg, thats kind of high and you are at around $200 by the time you put in a decent Power Supply. That sure can cut into your budget for good internals in this box if you are on a budget.

I have an email in to Outpost customer service asking if it is the original revision or the updated evolution version. I am tempted if it is the evolution version but it still will run hotter than my qpack.

Just heard back from them. It is the original. To me, even at this price its not worth it over my QPack. The cooling and interior layout of the Qpack is much better than the SG-01.

I have the Sugo case and it's awesome once you get it set up. Setting it up is a bitch, though, since space is really tight and you can't do much cable management with this case.

In any case, if I were to do it all over again, I'd go with a mobile CPU. I stuck an Opteron 165 in there, but I couldn't play some games (it'd just crash). I sold that and got rid of everything and bought a celeron D. I'm waiting to see what kind of temps Conroe puts out, and either put that in or a Yonah

building this case for myself

hieght is 7 3/4
width 10 1/2
deep 15

this will feature water cooling to keep noise down and to allow for better cooling

hugs

Jen

I built the system (some parts missing)
i'm still using the retail HS from AMD...3000+....the temp are not bad....40C without the fan spinning.. (i set the fan to start at 45C)...i never seen it spin up unless when i'm playing games

I got the Qpack and it works for me, but I could have gotten the sugo for $99 I would have gone that route. First the PS in the Xpack doesn't have a PCI-E power cable. I have just got an adaptor but then the number power leads would ahve been even more limited. If you want a better power system then the sugo for $99 is a good deal. Also a full size PS fits alot better in the sugo case.
The Xpack PS is ok, don;t get me wrong if you want o change it out for any reason its better to just go for the Sugo. Also thier are so many deals on good PS that you can a decent one under $30.

One other thing about the setup. I can only image the case temp getting very high. In my xpack even with good cable management, 2 case fase and an fan on my 6800GT I have problem if my room temps hit 80. They only hit that high in the spring before I turn on the air. My den is upstairs and it about 10 degree hotten thent eh rest of the house. When my computer crashed I know its time to start using the AC 🙂
