silver vs. black LCD monitors

Is there a difference really? I read somewhere (maybe AnandTech article?) that with a silver LCD flat panel, it tends to give a bigger feel overall because with a black panel there is more of a stark contrast between the display and the surrounding frame. Whereas in the silver the distinction is less defined. It seems reasonable enough to me. Just wondering if anyone has tested both with this idea in mind.
