Hi folks!
Any luck in finding a keyboard to match the case? I'm planning to build the "ultimate" computer next month and so far I have my heart set on geting the PC60. I have all components matched pretty much with the execption of the keyboard. Here's my preliminary specs:

Sony F520 21" monitor(due March '01) - I read it's going to be silver:D
Lian Li PC60
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer

Thanks for any suggestions.

I did the same thing with my sytem...got the mouse, bought the Coolermaster ATC-201 case, and did not get a matching monitor but got the NEC FE700 for under $200 at Staples...had to do that deal. As far as hte keyboard....the only one I could find that had a silver keyboard was at Alienwarebut they told me that they would only sell a keyboard if you bought a system UGH>...

wreed,

That stinks. Oh well, I guess I will have to do a custom paint job. Right now for my current system I went with all black and I am very satisfied with the Belkin Black Ergoboard. I may just buy another one, take it apart and paint the base/body of the keyboard silver to match the PC60, and leave the keys black. Can you guys kinda picture it? I think it'll look pretty sweet.

Bruda,

Whoa... PC60's bigger brother. Looks awesome, but it MAY BE too big plus I don't know of any dealers locally that would have it. MWAVE is only 20minutes away from me, and they only carry the PC60.

Any more ideas guys?

Alienware paints those keyboards anyway.. but you can duplicate it easily.. just take apart a keyboard, prime the plastic, paint it with insta-chrome (made from aluminum dust by the way), spray on lot's of clearcoat and voila a silver keyboard aside from the keys.. I believe it'll match the aluminum finish on the case nicely.. I simplified the process but what the hey.. you get the point.. in fact I plan to do this next month to my KB.. then the alienware case I bought at Directron..

Sounds good but what about durability? What are the chances of the paint flaking/chipping off? Painting a case is one thing, but with a keyboard, there's constant touching and rubbing... Also, where can I find "insta-chrome"?
