I'm not asking about a chemical bond, but asking about a physical one. Will these metals "stick" to each other well when melted as silver and copper do or will they just stick to themselves and not create a good contact area?

Well, silver can be a component of solder. Of course there's a variety of other metals in the mix.

OK .... I am a metalsmith & study metallurgy.
Silver & Aluminum will "stick", however the two metals are nowhere near as compatible as Silver/Copper.
