I'm not asking about a chemical bond, but asking about a physical one. Will these metals "stick" to each other well when melted as silver and copper do or will they just stick to themselves and not create a good contact area?

Well, silver can be a component of solder. Of course there's a variety of other metals in the mix.

They should stick.

OK .... I am a metalsmith & study metallurgy.

Silver & Aluminum will "stick", however the two metals are nowhere near as compatible as Silver/Copper.

The best solders for aluminum contain high concentrations of Zinc & Tin. Cadmium was also used.
But has fallen by the wayside since it was discovered how poisonous the metal is.

will they stick well enough for good heat transfer? what about copper and aluminum?
