Siluro GF4 Probleums

I just purchased an Abit Siluro GF4 MX. after installing it and the drivers Windows is not working correctly every time I try to install a program from the cd rom drive I get the BSD Fatel exception 0E has occured at 0028:C02980CC in VXD VWIN32(05) + 00000BF4. also everytime while surfing the net using IE5.5 the only sights I can get are .com if I try to goto a .net, .org I get this program has preformed an illegal operation and will be shutdown. any sugestions would be accepted

Welcome to Anandtech! Is your error a blue screen mem dump, or just a windows error?

1. take your vid card out and reseat it. If it still crashes, try uninstalling the current drivers, and get the latest drivers from abit or nvidia, and re-install them. also try to disable any video shadowing or extra performance settings. hope this helps!
Not sure about your internet probs. that sounds weird.

The answer to the probleum was sory to say I had to replace Windows 98se with windows ME after installing ME all probleums disapear and everything works.
