Silly question: Is there a way to turn WRT54G router off?

I got a WRT54G router. It's nice except it seems like the only way to turn it off is to unplug it. Also, it seems unplugging it makes it lose all its settings. Do I have to live with this or is there something I can do? Am I missing something obvious?

I'd like to turn it off at night.

Alternatively, is there a way to disable wireless completely? (perhaps to save some power at night and for security reasons?)

I've had a couple linksys routers and they never lose their settings when I unplug them. Only when I press the reset button does the setting reset. Sounds like maybe yours is defective?

if its just wireless that you want to turn off, It can be done.

Go to the config page.
http://IP.Of.Your.Router
Login and then go to the wireless settings.
Over there you can enable or disable your wireless.

Ok...Now I know what you mean. When you disable your wireless, all your keys will be gone. When you enable it back, you have to set everything back up again. For that I don't think there is a way around it. However, if you pull the plug on the router, it will retain the wireless settings when you plug it back in.
