Hi...

Am putting together a new system and purchased thes ready made filters for intake case fans.
Anybody know how/where to attach them to the fan?

Weird. My Antec case is made with convenient "clip-into fan holders" but they dont seem to allow
for an optional filter.

The filter frame itself has four holes (which don't go thrugh the plastic all the way so therefore
not into the fan itself. The screws are "cutting-type" screws (self-threading) but I'm at a bit of a loss here.
Anybody??

Nerd...

Forget the filters... with the way the Antec is designed with the smap-in fan holders
they don't allow you to put on the standard filter frames you can buy from any
PC cooling website. This is a bit of a dilemma I'm finding out if you want to filter the intake fan.

Anybody know a solution?

OK, for the third time in as many days I was going to post the links to the Antec case filter threads, but I'm just being lazy tonight. Just do a search for filter and you will find at least 4 threads on this very topic.

I went to home depot and bought air conditioner filter and cut it to a small square.

Then I got some wire hiders C tubes with adhesive. Stuck 2 small sticks on each side of the fan and then slid the filter between the "C" for a snug fit. With this mod you can put a filter anywhere, use a grill if the filter rubs on the fan blades.

I ended up taking it off because It never got dusty in the first place and filters add a marginal amount of wind noise.

All I did is cut a piece out of an A/C filter and remove to front panel. Placed filter medium in panel and reinstalled. Simple, cheap($1.00), and fast. It also helps that it works.
