Hi there,
I recentlly got an HP Pavillion A1626N from *cough* Futureshop, since the deal was worth it for me. I have run into an annoying problem though. The BIOS seems to be "sanitized for my protection (read annoyance)".
The boot screen shows Video and System Bios Cacheable settings of "enabled" and of course the bios itself has no options visible to disable the settings.
I have heard that with other OEM's there are keystrokes i.e. Ctl+F1 to enter the "advanced" bios where system timings, voltages etc. can all be manipulated like they can in most "normal" systems.
Does anyone know if it's possible to do the same with my HP? Or could I just flash my bios with an unsanitized version?
I have the Phoenix-AwardBIOS v6.00PG
Thanks for your time!
