I am building a low-end A8N-SLI system that won't require super cooling. I plan to get a case with a 12cm fan front/back, and mabey a side fan (probably 8cm).
The fans - can I just plug some cheap ones into the mobo? Like these:

Or do I need special fans/conectors? Do they automaticaly adjust speed?
Thank you!

Youre motherboard has a function called Q-Fan that does the adjusting for you, hence no thermally controlled fans will be necessary. You are free to plug whatever fans you want into the motherboard, but depending on what fans you get, you may need an adapter to be able to run them off the motherboard, which will be needed if you want them to be automatically adjusted by the motherboard. The website doesnt really state what connection is on the end of those fans, but most of them come with the 3 pin motherboard plug on them

However, if you are looking into a Silent System, cheap fans are no good. They will be very loud and probably an investment into some real name brands such as Antec, SilenX and Panaflo may be the way to go for ultimate silence
