Silly Brits, only Americans have First Amendment Rights - darn twits.

Despite telling officials the term 'destroy' was British slang for 'party', they were held on suspicion of planning to 'commit crimes' and had their passports confiscated.

The language barrier? Something else must be going on. Does Immigration keep track of tweets and then link them to those traveling?

freedom of speech is one thing but don't be friggin stupid about what you post for everyone to see. It's not September 10, 2001 anymore. If everything is taken as a joke, nothing will be taken seriously. If you don't pat down the kids, they'll stick a bomb on the kid.

In American slang, yes. "Tabs" are LSD-soaked pieces of blotter paper, but I'm pretty sure I've heard Brits use "tab" as a term for cigarettes.

I don't know whether to laugh at these idiots and their tweets, or feel embarrassed and sad over the idiotic response from the US.

I'm truly conflicted here.
