Silicon Knights in hot water

Ontario based dev takes $3 million from the provincial government under the promise to hire roughly 80 new employees back in June. Since then, they've laid off 45 workers. They're calling it a temporary layoff, though reportedly they won't hire until X-Men Destiny sells 1 million copies. That $3 mil is on top of the $4 million in federal stimulus they received last year. Also under the promise of hiring 65 new staff to work on a yet unnamed and currently unreleased project. The provincial opposition parties are up in arms about it.

No shock that they're doing so poorly. Too Human and X-Men Destiny were both critically panned.

Made me wonder how come they won't have Eternal Darkness sequel.

This. Hell they could spend $3m just taking the original and updating the visuals/controls for PS3/360. Profit.

(Before I get bashed, I admit that I have no idea how much this would actually cost.)
