I was interested in buying a new 300W powersupply. Read that my favorite store here sells Silent System powersuplies but no extra info was/is available !!

Has anyone had any experience with these powersupplies and are they really that quiet ??? and worth the extra buck ???

Do you know what makes a PS quiet? FANS. Just get a high quality PS and if it's still noisy then switch for a lower noise fans.
 
check out the antec pp303x. it has a variable speed fan, so it is quiet when the system is not in use. under heavy use, it will automatically speed up. anandtech actually suggests this one as well...
