Looks pretty good. There are so few good scary movies nowadays. Most of them just rely on blood and guts (cough*Hostel*cough) but this one looks like it will be genuinely scary.

I've been eyeing this thing for the longest time. I'm really hoping for a very successful movie; so far, it doesn't look like it will dissapoint.

'Silent Hill' never had anything to do with Hell. It was just twisted in a way quite unpleasant to visitors. Evil from time to time, true, but....not HELL.

Which looks like what they are going to do with this one. What is it with Hollywood's obsession with "Hell"? Why can't something just be EVIL outside of a religious allegorical metaphor for suffering? Or do they worry audiences might not be bright enough to follow that?

 Yet as the same time, when Doom is released and it is discovered that the entire "gateway to Hell" was changed to "genetic testing," the internet is in an uproar about Hollywood being afraid of dealing with the biblical implications "Hell." People just like to complain.

The only truth is that Hell == other people.

It actually has decent actors in it too. I'm amazed. And yeah, I was one of many disappointed in the Doom movie. If Mel Gibson can make a Jesus movie, why can't the makers of D3 have their stab at a sci-fi horror? Instead they made it into a brainless action movie where they could of made it into a suspense or mystery even. Just seems every good script or story writer runs away when they see "evil" mentioned from a movie producer. They don't have to go bibical, but they scan at least skirt around it like for instance the movie Event Horizon.
