Using the fans that come with the Lian Li cases, have the PC-65 model, was wondering if anyone knew of fans that move more air but still are decently quiet at the same time.

Oh, all 80mm

Just cause i love nit-picking. The only silent fan I own is my busted 60mm old cpu fan. It doesnt move any air :p

In anycase, Panaflo L1A @ jab-tech is probably your best bet. Does the PC65 have 2 rear 80mm fans? I dont remember. I have a PC-61 and it only has 1 rear 80mm fan. I modded a 120mm chimney fan into the case. Depends what you have in your rig.

For 2-3 harddrives and a typical system like AXP OC'd, A64 mild OC, P4 Northwood, you would be fine with All 80mm fans being panaflo and front fans being set to medium.

If you have a power supply with 120mm fan, your chances of better cooling will be much better. If you can afford to do this:
S12 430Watt from newegg = 100$
3-5x panaflo L1A,
You will be fine.

I have the hard-drives up in the 5.25 bays and they have their own 2x80mm fans. So I took out the hard drive rack so I have a nice clean cut airflow going up and out of my case...here's the fan situation...

2x80mm duel intake fans in the front bottom of the case
2x80mm duel intake fans in the 5.25 drive bays for my HD's
1x80mm exhaust by the CPU
1x80mm blowhole
120mm fan on my PSU (Forton Blue Storm)

It's winter now and temps are 40C Idle OC'd my 3500+ to 2.5GHz, so it's in the next few months that I want to keep everything cooled down. Cause temps stay around 39C whether idle or load.

Cook can you explain how your 2x 80mm in the 5.25" bay are situated?Custom Vent grating?
Perhaps you can just put a 120mm fan in the 5.25" bay?

In either case, you have more than enough fans to cool your system adequately. In fact, you can drop the fan intakes to Low speed with panaflos as well since you took away the obstruction.

Ahh! No cd drives?

In any case, your set up has plenty of good airflow. You may not even have to plug in half of your intake fans. One fan on top, one fan on bottom.

If you want all your fans going, i would get Panaflo L1A 80mm, and some sort of fan controlling device - obviously not a 5.25" bay one since you dont have the space for it. 7V should suffice. place all 4 intake on 7V (low setting on your lian li case).

I guess you could put the bottom 2 on Low, and get 2 zalman fanmates for the top 2 panaflos. Your psu probably sucks more than 50cfm, and your aft fan probably you can keep at 12V, or 9V, or 7V if you are a quiet computer guy.

At 7V i estimate the panaflo to move maybe 12-15cfm at best. A very very rough estimate would be 48-50 cfm intake, and 70cfm exhaust. Thats pretty good as I find with negative case pressure comes lower temps. Just place dust filters on your intakes.
