Silencer fans?

they are fairly quiet given thier output, I've used thier industrial 120mm fans on some robotics equipment I maintain. (don't know if they still make the 120's or not tho) I have seen quieter fans though.

I have 4 of the 80s running in my case right now and all I hear with my ear right up next to the intake is the sound of air moving by, no fan noise from the case fans.

I have used many of these over the years, mostly on home theater situations where quiet is very important. I've found them reliable and quiet. However, I highly doubt the stated CFM is accurate and don't think they are suitable for most computer uses unless its for a very light load. They move air enough to keep a slight breeze going, but if anything is creating a lot of heat, they just can't do the job. Best suited where quiet is #1 priority and airflow need is minimal.

Not sure of what your real question is. My description was fairly detailed. What specifically do you want to know about the fans?

I want to know how minimal, minimal is.. Sorry for not being clear. Also would 2 of these fans accually be good for an exhaust or intake fan? Im guessing not with the case I have... (Chieftec)

You didn't mention what computer they are for, what proc you have, whether you overclock and how good an airflow design your case has. Tough to give any input when you didn't give anything to go on. They are high quality fans, quiet, and suitable for light use. Only you know how they're going to be used. They are low output so it may make sense if you ADD this fan to a case and not replace a higher cfm. I have never been satisfied with this fan in any of my computers because of the low airflow. I also use my computers at near 100% cpu useage all the time and therefore create a lot of heat. If you only web surf and have a celeron, it may be ok. You decide. You want a quiet fan, get it. If you need to move more air, get something else.
