Installed a New Western gigital 120 GB SATA drive in my system. Just curious as far I know silicon image has to drivers on there site. The SATA IDE Driver & SATA RAID Driver. Since i'm only using 1 SATA drive it was the correct assumption for me to pick the SATA IDE Driver. Cause I've seen some post on other forums where they say u have to use the Raid driver regardless if its a single drive.

I did choose the IDE driver and system has been working fine ever since. I do have a ? in device manager for a Raid controller but other than that no problems.

That is correct. My NF7-S uses a Sil3112 raid controller, and I only have a single WD740GD SATA Raptor. I used the "raid" driver during XP setup and have no problems in the device manager.

Actually only one of those is a driver the other is a GUI RAID program.

You'll get much better answers on the ASUS forum at nforcershq.com or amdmb.com forums.

well cause I first installed the SATA IDE driver during the windows setup. Any attempt to install the SATA RAID driver just locks up windows at boot screen. it Seems the two drivers are conflicting, does anyone know how I can remove the SATA IDE drivers ?

Without Formatting and reinstalling windows. I will do that when I pickup a second HD and actually go Raid 0.
