Is it possible that my video card is dying? I'm using an old Creative Annihilator Pro DDR. That's Geforce 1 DDR RAM video card.

I was playing Gunbound and when I was at the game menu screen where you have everyone else waiting to start the game, it turned black entirely and were only some colors around. Then, it quit to windows desktop. Is my card dying?

Any kind of test I can run on it?

I'm running the drivers given from windowsupdate website. Version is 6.14.10.5216.

Are you overclocking the vid card? If so, that's a common error and it could indicate that your hardware can't take the OC anymore. Otherwise, before you jump the gun, get the latest drivers and then try the game. If that doesn't work then either your vid card is crapping out or your mobo is crapping out (not providing enuf voltage).

Never overclocked anything. I don't do that stuff. I was thinking might be my motherboard not giving enough voltage. Man. I'm saving some money to get a new system. Hopefully this will last me till August.

Latest drivers would be from Nvidia? The reference drivers?

Not hot. Just cool temperature. I have an AC running too in the room. I'd say the room temperature is about low 70s?

Electronics do not usually "die" slowly. I suspect that your problem is the M$ Windows update drivers. I would try uninstalling the vid card - revert to basic VGA on reboot, then install drivers from the card's manufacturer.
