Signing packages: Do you need to be there??

If I ordered something and I'm not there to receive/sign the package, can someone else do it for me?

anyone at the address can sign, if your not home and a close neighbor is even they can usually sign... if you miss it, you can usuall sign a slip and leave the slip so they leave the package the next time if you miss them again...
