I intend to start developing in c this fall. When I try to create a project in xcode I get all these fancy options of using cocoa or carbon etc; naturally a few questions arise.
Are the frameworks just some standard classes like the standard classes in java etc?
Which one is better, cocoa or carbon? What is the difference?
Are these libraries very large? Does it take a great deal of time to learn them? I do like OSX, but I may not be allowed to develop mac in the future. In that case, it might not be a very good investment of time.
