Signal Lag on Large 19"+ LCD monitors.True?

I am eyeing a Dell or Acer 24" monitors. They advertice them as perfect for games and dvds.However,I've heard that all of those monitors has a horrible 30-50ms lag. It would be unaceptable for games,as you'd be 2-4 frames behind of what's happening.
I'd assume,it's because over 500mb or data is moving through the DVI cable and it's too much information to process.
This would be also noticing during real time audio/video editing. 2-3 frames lag is not acceptable.

Anyone owns any of these monitos.Can you confirm the lag?

i play games all the time on my Dell 24" LCD and its fine. i actually have 2 2405s and have never seen it on either of them. ive played CS, doom3, farcry, fear, etc. etc. and never had a problem, not even a little bit.

i am pretty picky but there is a point where you are just being ridiculous. i like CRTs too but i will never go back for home/personal use...i love LCDs. this really isnt an HT topic btw.

I have a sony wega 23" lcd and have never noticed any sort of signal lag.
