I signed and shared on Facebook. I hate Facebook for anything other than keeping up to date on my family, but this seemed worth it.

They irony of asking people to share information like this on Facebook is pretty amusing.

You can sign any petition, call any elected official and post about it till you're blue in the face but those with money and power will get what they want regardless. Not a reason not to try, but manage your expectations I guess.

Heard about it. Dont care.
My senators and reps are all assholes. They promise free handouts, get reelected, and then fuck the people gently.

Nothing I can do.

SOPA/PIPA were killed by movements just like this one.

The United States has major issues with corruption at all level of government. Until that's dealt with, meaning when the American people finally revolt against it, these problems will continue. It's destroying a once great country.

I don't really do petitions, but spreading the word is good. If facebookers get on it, it might make it to MSM, and with some organizational backing a la SOPA, it could be stopped. Too bad in the last election, people decided they wanted a king, and not a servant who follows the supreme law...

The NSA already logs internet traffic and stores it away for later usage. The only way to get true privacy now on the net is TOR or high encryption proxies.

This just makes the snooping legal. It is already being done.

Pretty much, but what do I know? I'm just a tinfoil wearing conspiracist. It's all ok. Governmental overreach, and tyranny happened long ago in the dark ages. That stuff doesn't happen anymore...

This is just going to keep coming back till people don't care anymore and it passes.

Over half this country is a step above mouth-breathing retards, they don't even see that they have something to revolt against... and even if they did, what's your specific plan to deal with it?

Just naturally curious - of all the useful... and "educational" things to spread about our democracy to dumbasses all over the likes of failbook - and useful things on the internet, why do you say "No." to this?

Because I don't use any of those things and I'm not about to start. Also, I am in Canada, so you guys do not care what I think.

I care, and you should too. We have a bad habit of exporting our policies, and enforcing them at gunpoint.
