Sigmatel HD Integrated Sound - worth upgrading to dedicated card?

My dell has a Sigmatel Stac 92XX C-Major "HD" integrated sound chip and I'm wondering if I'll see a sound quality upgrade by going to a moderately priced dedicated card. I don't game so I don't really care about CPU utilization and I currently am rocking a 2.1 set (Klipsch) of speakers, so 5.1 support (or 7.1) isn't important. I use my computer as my main stereo system for music.

If you just want a good analog stereo output for music, the Chaintech AV-710 for less than $30 will give you great results (if you're not using vista)
