Why are you all excited about new stuff that comes out every 2 months or so that only outdates the "old" computer parts?
I hate it that the new DDR AMD crap is coming out, because I wanted a DUron, and nowthe will be no upgrade path for Socket A, which is already "old". Do all of you computer guys out there just buy every last new thing that coems out, even if your old parts you bought just a month before? Are all of you nerdy kids that get thousands of bucks off your parents or all you all just rich any way? Man, I'm about to buy a console...Computer technology just goes too fast. Any comments on this are appreciated.

Wow, these MP3s sure sound good. God, i enjoy typing on this *keyboard.* OOH, this high resolution sure is pretty. Jeez, i wonder what it'd be like not to have information on ANYTHING at my fingertips...

Get a console if you dont like it. You act as if you cannot play UT or Quake on your Duron with SDRAM. I'm not upgrading until next year, I have a Tbird 800 with 256MB.

computer hardware only become obselete if your use changes. :)

if you play all your old 486 games do you really need a 1Ghz cpu to play them? nope. Trying to keep up with the lastest and greatest is hard,. :)

i have a cel300A @450Mhz (on a abit BH6) with tnt(1), 192Mbs sdram and 18gig ibm hard drive 32x cdrom.
would like to upgrade but my system does what i need it too. :)
