I'm debating on whether to buy SimCity 4, Panzer Dragoon Orta, or DOA Volleyball. I have so little time for gameplaying these days that I'm not sure it will be money well spent. I get maybe a couple of hours a night when I get home from work and that is usually time well spent with my son (and to give my wife a break from taking care of him). My weekend free time is spent doing chores, trying to sell our house so I can reduce my hour and 15 minute ride to and from work to a more manageable 30 minutes or less, running errands, or going out of town to visit family. I haven't even picked up an X-Box controller since before Christmas and haven't played a PC game longer than that.

<sigh> I guess this is what they mean by growing up...I don't know how I'm going to be able to be able to play games when I can't even find time to exercise! I want to go back to school and get my masters but I don't know how I am going to manage that if I can't even find the time to play a quick 15 minute game. :| The only time that I even get to check the internet now is at work during lunch or during lulls in projects. Oh well, maybe things will get better after we sell the house. <rant mode off>

Get a laptop for your car and play the games during your hour and 15 minute commute. That's time wasted!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did that already ;) It was called being laid-off hehe. Seriously, I'm just ranting right now cause I'm so busy at home that I don't have time to relax (videogames were my preferred method of relaxation after reading books which I don't have time for either). Hopefully, it will get better as my son gets older and doesn't require 100 percent supervision and we are able to move into a house that is closer to my new job.

I just find it funny that we have all this free time in school but don't have the money to get what we want. Then, we finish school, finally have the money to get what we want but don't have the time to enjoy it!

or a GBA, i can just see the headlines now. "Man playing games while commuting, causing a 20 car pile up in local interstate!!" j/k of course

as for the games, i'm not a big simcity fan, so don't like that one, Orta got a 9.0 from gamespot, so that seems like a good choice, will your wife approve of you playing DOA XBV? i can't wait for the game, but i wonder if it's all eye candy or also has some substance, team ninja makes good games, but i'll have to wait another week to see. but for a quick game i'd say DOA XBV it it's half as good as it looks

n i hear ya on not having time to play games. i have games collecting dust, and got dvds still shrink wrapped.. *sigh*

LOL...I have two GBAs that I bought for my wife and I that are currently going unused. She likes to play the classic arcade games when we are on the road but that is about it.

But hell, I live in Atlanta, there are pile-ups everywhere caused by all sorts of crazy crap. I don't have to get on any interstates, fortunately, but my commute is through the side roads and back roads of North Atlanta. I have literally fallen asleep waiting for traffic lights in the morning. Lord we can't move soon enough...
