Man, what's the bill going to be ?
This was a thought that popped into my head as well... I mean you hardly even got to know him. :|

Regardless, sorry for your loss.

you only had the cat for one day, the other side is that you didnt develope a deep emotional tie to it, trust me and others who say taht is a blessing. try loosing a pet after 11 years.

I feel bad that you lost the cat, but i also was wondering how much it cost you to have the cat in the hospital for 6 days.

i understand...we visited the kitty as much as we could when she was in isolation....i remember the day we 1st saw her and picked her out

damn

I love animals and would like to have a few pets but I could'nt deal with getting used to a great pet and then watching it die. My little brother had a pet rabbit for a couple of years, the rabbit would literally follow him all over the house. Then one day he got sick and eventually died, everyone in the house was depressed for days.

So soryr to hear about that. But go to the local animal shelter and get a new kitty. There are hundreds of them that need a loving family. My wife and I have 1 dog and 3 cats of our own. Plus we have 3 generations of stray cats that live on/under our deck and in our backyard. We feed them every day and watch them grow and it's such a great feeling. 3 of the 7 are friendly enough to actually come up and get petted and such. Hopefully this summer we'll get a few more as well.

Good Luck.

Was this a kitten you bought (full blooded siamese, persian, etc...)? or just a common tabby (stray/pound)?

I only ask, because I once bought a full blooded siamese kitten that died of the same thing and was told by the vet that bad/over - breeding was the cause.

That sucks. I feel your pain.

I've had two cats die on me recently. My old cat Juanita one day just couldn't breath. The vet couldn't save her. I had
her over 10 years. That was really sad. I got a little kitten (Rufus) a couple weeks later. Took him to the vet to get checked out
and to remove his claws. He was in perfect health but then died during the operation. Damned vet....
